The factory of Cupric Fungicides was set up in August 2005 in the city of Resende , State of Rio de Janeiro. This plant covers only a small portion of the total surface of more than 16 hectares , leaving the remaining land for an important future growth. The output capacity is around 800 tn/month of finished products (9000 tn/year), with around 50 direct and 100 indirect workstations.

The Cupric Fungicides are formulations of Copper Oxychloride Technical, commercially called RECOP and RECONIL, and formulations of Cupric Oxide Technical, commercially called COBRE ATAR BR and COBRE ATAR MZ.

Atar has as strategic goal the post setting up in such facilities of a Glyphosate plant, capable of producing 50 million liters a year as from the end of 2007, and a post extension of 100 millions as from the end of 2009.

This unit will consolidate the company activities, apart from replacing the imports and being a platform of exports from Resende.
