Hydrochloric acid is a colorless liquid that smokes up in the air and has a pungent odor. It may be of a light-yellow color due to the presence of chlorine, iron or organic matter traces.

It presents a high thermal stability and has a broad variety of uses. It results from water combination and absorption of chloride and gaseous hydrogen.

Uses

- Iron etching in the metallurgic industry.

- Neutralizer, reducer and intermediary in organic and inorganic synthesis in the chemical industry.

- It dissolves several chemicals and raw materials.

- Reagent for the production of colorings and dyes.

- Fat and oil bleaching agent.

- Reagent for the production of fertilizers.

- Oil well acidifier and activator.

- Acidifier, neutralizer and reagent agent in staining procedures, mercerization and printing in the textile industry.

- For the manufacture of several cleaning supplies.

- It is used in the beer brewing industry.

- It is used in the oil refining process.

- It is used for industrial water treatment and in the process for making water drinkable.
