2.4-DB-based (2.4 dichlorophenoxyacetic acid) herbicides are selective for controlling wide-leaf underbrush in consociated pastures with leguminous, alfalfa, peanut and soybean species.

In Argentina , Atanor has synthesized 2.4-DB acid since 1954 in its plant located in Río Tercero ( Province of Cordoba ) by means of a highly integrated process. 2.4-DB acid is then used to formulate the finished product in San Nicolás factory (in the Province of Buenos Aires). Atanor is the sole worldwide producer of industrially integrated 2.4 DB.
